ComCom Issues a Warning to TV 25 and Parvana for Failure to Broadcast News and Political Shows

The Communications Commission has issued a written warning to TV 25 for failing to broadcast news programmes, and to the Public Radio and Television Organisation Parvana for failing to broadcast socio-political programmes. The aforementioned television stations are authorised entities for general television broadcasting, and are obliged to air news and socio-political programmes in accordance with the Law of Georgia on Broadcasting and the terms of the authorisation.

The monitoring carried out by the communications commission found that the aforementioned broadcasters were not complying with the terms of authorisation and the requirements under the legislation. Given that TV 25 and the Public Radio and Television Organisation Parvana have not been held administratively liable for similar violations in the past year, the Commission decided to issue a written warning to the broadcasters.
