ComCom Launches the Digital Support Programme in Tsalenjikha
The Communications Commission has begun implementing the Digital Support Programme in the Municipality of Tsalenjikha. To this end, the Commission held an informational meeting about the programme at the Tsalenjikha Town Hall. The meeting was attended by representatives of the local government, administration and resource center.
Within the framework of the Digital Support Programme, residents of the target settlements in Tsalenjikha will have the opportunity to receive free training in digital literacy and safe use of the internet, and learn about important issues such as finding the desired information online, using Google applications and social platforms, etc. Participants will also receive a certificate. The target villages of the programme in the Municipality of Tsalenjikha are: Chale, Chvele, Etserperdi, Jarigha, Lara, Leshamuge, Letkanti, Makharia, Muzhava, Nakipu, Olori, Potskhoetseri, Sachino, Sameskhio, Uluria and Zghvaia. As part of the Digital Support Programme, more than 8,300 citizens from different regions in Georgia have been trained in digital literacy, safe use of the internet and the use of state electronic services since 2022.
The Digital Support Programme is part of the Log-in Georgia project, which is co-funded by the World Bank and the European Investment Bank. It is being implemented to support the Georgian State Internetization Programme. The project aims to provide around 500,000 people in rural settlements in Georgia with access to affordable high-quality internet services, as well as to help develop digital skills and facilitate the use of digital services.
