The Media Academy of the communications Commission has held a seminar for journalists and students of the Faculty of Journalism, titled “How Elections Are Covered by the News Departments.” The meeting was chaired by TV presenter and Head of the News Department at Rustavi-2, Nino Shubladze, who shared her experience in covering political news.

The seminar discussed topics such as election coverage strategy, ensuring information accuracy, working with respondents, and best fact-checking practices. Nino Shubladze also talked about the ethical standards that journalists need to maintain while covering the elections, and described the differences in a journalist’s work before and after the elections. At the end of the meeting, participants received a certificate from the Media Academy.
