ComCom Media Academy Holds an Open Lecture by the Public Defender
The Media Academy of the Communications Commission hosted a public lecture for journalists and students of the faculty of journalism by the Public Defender Levan Ioseliani.
The meeting discussed human rights challenges, as well as the rights of women, children, and people affected by conflict. Other topics of discussion included the protection and civic integration of national minorities; the practice of parole and commutation of the unserved portion of a sentence with a lighter sentence; and a legislative and practical analysis of the justice system and parole for prisoners serving a life sentence.
For more than five years, the Media Academy has been offering seminars and lectures for media representatives and individuals interested in journalism free of charge.
