ComCom Media Academy Launches Masterclass by David Kakulia

The Communications Commission has added another group of online lectures to its Masterclass series, this time by TV presenter and military reporter David Kakulia. The masterclass is designed for people who are interested in the coverage and reporting of emergency situations, and is available on the Media Academy YouTube channel free of charge.

In the online lectures, David Kakulia shares his multi-year experience and knowledge. He recalls numerous episodes from various battlefields and emergency situations, and lists the important nuances that reporters need to take into account to better cover the stories. Furthermore, he discusses the mistakes frequently made by journalists, and how the advancements in military technology have changed the safety norms for the media.

The Masterclass series includes lectures by 14 authors with a wealth of experience in the media industry. Apart from David Kakulia, these include producer Irakli Kakabadze, producer Noe Sulaberidze, GPB director Tinatin Berdzenishvili, journalist Eka Beridze, playwright Basa Janikashvili, journalist Tamta Sanikidze, photo reporter David Mdzinarashvili, cameraman David Chkhikvishvili, producer Giorgi Khaburzania, journalist Maka Antidze, TV presenter Nikoloz Tsulukidze and BBC quality control manager Natia Abramia.

The Media Academy is using the Masterclass series to allow people with an interest in media affairs to learn from professional authors about everything that is necessary to create a high-quality media product. The online lectures have been viewed more than 2.5 million times since inception.
