ComCom Media Lab Awards the Winners of “Ideadrome”

The MediaLab of the Communications Commission has identified the winning startup teams of the “Ideadrome” contest, whose goal is to discover startups in the field of digital media, improve their products, develop them, and facilitate their establishment on the market. The winners were awarded cash prizes of GEL 5000 and GEL 1000 each.

The first place went to STAMO.AI, which is a web browser extension that helps bloggers turn their blog into a short animated video or GIF file, and increase audience engagement.

The other teams shared the second place and the remaining prize fund. They include the Emoty app, which facilitates the process of gifting and receiving gifts, and helps users choose the right gift for the recipient; the comprehensive video creation platform SizmarAI, which quickly creates animations based on the text submitted by the user; the digital calling card addme.ge, which is an effective quantifiable networking platform; the vertical ERP system Skippit.io, which facilitates project management for small and medium service providers; and the geolocation-based AR social network NETMARK.

As part of “Ideadrome,” participating startuppers underwent five-day intensive training, where they learned how to improve their product, find customers, create a profitable business model and establish themselves on the market. Furthermore, each participant had the opportunity to consult industry professionals about various topics of interest.

The Media Lab of the Communications Commission has successfully organised eight editions of “Ideadrome.” The theme of the latest edition of the contest was “From the Product to A-Series.” Participation was open only to the startups that had already created the initial version of their product and wished to move to the next stage. Many of the past participants of “Ideadrome” have already managed to take their products to the international market.
