ComCom Media School Holds a Seminar for Journalists on the Coverage of Economic Issues
The Media School of the Communications Commission held a seminar for journalists and people interested in journalism, titled “Economics for Journalists: Macro Indicators and Economic Policy.” The meeting was chaired by Vakhtang Charaia, Doctor of Economics and Dean of the School of Business and Management at Grigol Robakidze University.
During the meeting, participants learned how to cover economic issues in a simple and understandable way. In addition, the seminar discussed what determines the main indicators of the Georgian economy, how fiscal and monetary policy are interpreted, and how economic terms are used. At the end of the meeting, participants were issued a certificate.
For more than five years, the Media Academy has been holding free seminars and lectures to support the media and raise the qualifications of persons employed in this sector.
