ComCom Media School Studio Has 14 Graduates, Some of Whom Have Already Found Employment
The Media Academy of the Communications Commission has issued certificates to 14 successful graduates of the intensive practical course Media School Studio. With the help of professional mentors, the students worked for an information service specially created for them, learning how to independently create media products and complete their media portfolio. Notably, as a result of the acquired experience and reference letters from the Media School, several graduates have already found employment in various media organisations.
As part of the intensive course, participants of the Media School Studio course were equipped with all the necessary inventory and technology. Through practical exercises, they learned how to prepare radio and television news programmes and podcasts, in addition to mastering news narration, the art of interviewing, video shooting and editing, production, programming, formatting, and social media journalism.
The subjects were taught by industry professionals such as Head of Information Service at Rustavi 2, talk show host and presenter Nino Shubladze; Rustavi 2 presenter Davit Kakulia; Media Director of the Georgian Public Broadcaster (GPB), Rusudan Manjgaladze; GPB producer Ekaterine Talakhadze; GPB journalist Teona Managadze; GPB cameraman Giorgi Kasrashvili; Head of GPB Sound Group, Maka Kuchaidze; Imedi journalist, reporter and filmmaker Mariam Bakuradze; Imedi editor Nana Ugulava-Janisiani, verbal and non-verbal text management trainer at Imedi, Tamta Tsintsadze; and Digital Marketing Manager at ComCom Media Academy, Lasha Darbaiseli.
The Media School Studio has announced admissions until 16 February. Candidates will be selected based on a contest consisting of a written test, oral interview and test video recording. The selected participants will receive practical experience in journalism for 4 months completely free of charge. This will give them a unique opportunity to find employment, start a career and develop in their desired field.
