ComCom Media School Studio Launches a 4-Month Practical Learning Course in Journalism
The Media School Studio of the Communications Commission has completed admissions for the fourth cohort of its practical 4-month course. As a result of the selection process, 12 students will have a unique opportunity to acquire all the necessary knowledge and skills for journalism free of charge, with the support of professional mentors, and to start their careers in the media sector.
To ensure the effective delivery of the intensive programme, the Media School Studio is fully equipped with all necessary inventory and technical resources. Students will train in a specially designed newsroom, where they will learn about the preparation of news broadcasts, reports and podcasts; camera operation; speech and on-air presentation skills; news production for television and online platforms; audio editing and sound design; production of non-news TV content and programmes; video editing; interviewing techniques; as well as producing and hosting. Upon completing the course, participants will be able to independently produce high-quality media content.
Notably, 85% of the Media School Studio graduates are already employed in various media organisations. Successful graduates receive certificates and are recommended to potential employers by the Media School.
To enroll in the course, candidates underwent a three-stage selection process, which included written testing and oral interviews, through which the best applicants were selected.
The Media School Studio programme, implemented by the Communications Commission, offers individuals interested in journalism a unique opportunity to gain knowledge and practical experience free of charge, with the aim of improving media standards in the country.
