Head of Legal Support Group of the Communications Commission, Levan Maisuradze, took part in the meeting of the Steering Committee on Media and Information Society of the Council of Europe (CDMSI) and the Committee of Experts on Online Safety and Empowerment of Content Creators and Users (MSI-eSEC) as member of CDMSI. 

During the event, the committee discussed draft recommendations on online safety and empowerment of content creators and users, which must be prepared and presented to CDMSI before the expiry of the committee’s mandate. Other topics of discussion included the aims, working methods and scope of authority of the committee, as well as the plans for 2024-2025. In addition, elections were held for the positions of Chair and Vice-Chair during the meeting. 

Levan Maisuradze was elected to the committee of experts at the 24^th CDMSI Congress with 31 votes. The committee is responsible for producing reports and recommendations for the Council of Europe on topical issues.
