ComCom Teaches 450 Locals in Khelvachauri to Use the Internet

As part of the Digital Support Programme, the Communications Commission has trained more than 150 people in the villages of Zemo Jocho, Kvemo Jocho, Zanakidzeebi, Otabatumi, Masaura, Tkhilnari and Korolistavi in the Municipality of Khelvachauri in digital literacy and the safe use of the internet. The programme was launched in Khelvachauri on February 13, and already has more than 450 trained beneficiaries as of today. With the help of specialists, participants learned how to search for information, create and use e-mail, use Google Maps and Google Translator, share locations and use online communication tools.

The Log-in Georgia project is co-funded by the World Bank and the European Investment Bank. It is being implemented to support the Georgian State Internetization Programme. The project aims to provide around 500,000 people in 1000 villages and rural settlements in Georgia with access to affordable high-quality internet services, as well as to help develop digital skills and facilitate the use of digital services.
