ComCom: The Communications Sector Contributed GEL 628,828,011 to the 2024 State Budget
According to the 2024 Activity Report of the Communications Commission, the communications sector contributed a total of GEL 628,828,011 to the state budget in 2024, which is GEL 24,254,129 more than in the previous year.
The amount paid by broadcasters into the state budget in the form of taxes was GEL 46,607,141, while the amount paid by authorised undertakings in accordance with the Law of Georgia on Electronic Communications was GEL 517,932,633. With regards to the revenues from licensing, a total of GEL 64,249,528 was paid into the state budget from the communications sector in 2024. Finally, the payment of administrative fines contributed 38,709 to the budget.
