ComCom Trains 1000 Locals in Kobuleti in Digital Literacy

The Digital Support Programme of the Communications Commission has concluded in Kobuleti, with up to 1000 residents of 21 target villages (Achkvistavi, Gvara, Zeda Kondidi, Zeniti, Kokhi, Leghva, Skura, Kakuti, Kveda Kondidi, Tskhrapona, Tskavroka, Chakhati, Kveda Kvirike, Dagva, Zeda Kvirike, Khala, Kveda Dagva, Khutsubani, Zeda Sameba, Shuaghele) receiving training in digital literacy and safe use of the internet.

The programme started in Kobuleti on February 7, and a total of 70 seminars were conducted. With the help of specialists, participants learned how to search for information, create and use e-mail, use Google Maps and Google Translator, share locations and use online communication tools. 

The Digital Support Programme already has more than 2000 beneficiaries in the municipalities of Ozurgeti, Kobuleti and Khelvachauri. The next phase of the programme is currently being implemented in the target villages of Chokhatauri and Samtredia.

The Log-in Georgia project is co-funded by the World Bank and the European Investment Bank. It is being implemented to support the Georgian State Internetization Programme. The project aims to provide around 500,000 people in 1000 villages and rural settlements in Georgia with access to affordable high-quality internet services, as well as to help develop digital skills and facilitate the use of digital services.
