The Communications Commission has successfully concluded the Digital Support Programme in the municipalities of Senaki and Khoni. The Commission held 46 seminars on digital literacy and internet use in Senaki, and 39 seminars in Khoni, with more than 1200 persons being trained in total. Beneficiaries receive free training and learned about important issues such as finding the desired information online, using Google applications and social platforms, etc.
As part of the Digital Support Programme, which has already covered 247 settlements in 17 municipalities, more than 9,000 citizens from different regions in Georgia have been trained since 2022.
The Digital Support Programme is part of the Log-in Georgia project, which is co-funded by the World Bank and the European Investment Bank. It is being implemented to support the Georgian State Internetization Programme. The project aims to provide around 500,000 people in rural settlements in Georgia with access to affordable high-quality internet services, as well as to help develop digital skills and facilitate the use of digital services.
