ComCom Trains 250 Locals in Chkhorotsku in Internet Use
The Digital Support Programme of the Communications Commission is actively continuing in the Municipality of Chkhorotsku, where 250 locals have already been trained in digital literacy and the safe use of internet. The meetings aim to enhance the digital competencies of participants and develop skills such as finding the desired information online, using Google apps and programs purposefully, and using social platforms effectively..
The target villages of the programme in the Municipality of Chkhorotsku are Akhuti, Jumiti (Letsurtsume community), Jumiti (Khabumi community), Khantski, Kirtskhi, Lejike, Mongiri, Ochkhomuri, Koko and Sarakoni. Residents of these villages can attend the seminar free of charge, improve their digital capabilities, and obtain a certificate. Since 2022, more than 6650 citizens from different regions of Georgia have been trained as part of the Digital Support Programme in digital literacy, safe use of the internet and the use of state electronic services.
The Digital Support Programme is part of the Log-in Georgia project, which is co-funded by the World Bank and the European Investment Bank. It is being implemented to support the Georgian State Internetization Programme. The project aims to provide around 500,000 people in 1000 villages and rural settlements in Georgia with access to affordable high-quality internet services, as well as to help develop digital skills and facilitate the use of digital services.
