ComCom Trains 290 Locals in Tskaltubo in Internet Use
As part of the Digital Support Programme, the Communications Commission has trained 290 locals in the municipality of Tskaltubo in digital literacy and the safe use of internet. A total of 18 seminars have already been held in the municipality. Trainings will take place in Tskaltubo until March. Beneficiaries will be able to learn important skills such as finding the desired information online, using Google apps, using social platforms, and others.
The target villages of the programme in the Municipality of Tskaltubo are Chuneshi, Tskhunkuri, Kumistavi, Kvilishori, Zarati, Opurchkheti, Zhoneti, Rioni, Sormoni and Ukaneti. Residents of these villages can attend the seminar free of charge, improve their digital capabilities, and obtain a certificate. Since 2022, more than 6750 citizens from different regions of Georgia have been trained as part of the Digital Support Programme in digital literacy, safe use of the internet and the use of state electronic services.
The Digital Support Programme is part of the Log-in Georgia project, which is co-funded by the World Bank and the European Investment Bank. It is being implemented to support the Georgian State Internetization Programme. The project aims to provide around 500,000 people in 1000 villages and rural settlements in Georgia with access to affordable high-quality internet services, as well as to help develop digital skills and facilitate the use of digital services.
