ComCom Trains 350 Locals in Tsageri and Lentekhi in Internet Use

As part of the Digital Support Programme, the Communications Commission is holding seminars in the municipalities of Tsageri and Lentekhi about digital literacy and safe use of the internet. The seminars have already been attended by a total of 350 locals. With the help of specialists, participants learned how to search for information, create and use e-mail, use Google Maps and Google Translator, share locations and use online communication tools. The programme will continue in Lentekhi until the end of September, and in Tsageri until the end of October.
Since 2022, more than 4500 citizens from 162 villages of the municipalities of Ozurgeti, Khelvachauri, Kobuleti, Chokhatauri, Samtredia, Ambrolauri, Oni and Abasha have been trained as part of the Digital Support Programme in digital literacy, safe use of the internet and the use of state electronic services.
The Digital Support Programme is part of the Log-in Georgia project, which is co-funded by the World Bank and the European Investment Bank. It is being implemented to support the Georgian State Internetization Programme. The project aims to provide around 500,000 people in 1000 villages and rural settlements in Georgia with access to affordable high-quality internet services, as well as to help develop digital skills and facilitate the use of digital services.
