ComCom Trains 500 Locals in Tsalenjikha in Internet Use

The Communications Commission continues to implement the Digital Support Programme in the Municipality of Tsalenjikha, where up to 500 locals have already been trained in digital literacy and purposeful use of the internet. The trainees learned about important issues such as finding the desired information online, using Google applications and social platforms, etc. The programme is set to run in the Municipality of Tsalenjikha until the end of the year. 

The target settlements in the Municipality of Tsalenjikha are: Chale, Chvele, Etserperdi, Jarigha, Lara, Leshamuge, Letkanti, Makharia, Muzhava, Nakipu, Olori, Potskhoetseri, Sachino, Sameskhio, Uluria and Zghvaia. As part of the Digital Support Programme, more than 9,900 citizens from different regions in Georgia have been trained in digital literacy, safe use of the internet and the use of state electronic services since 2022. 

The Digital Support Programme is part of the Log-in Georgia project, which is co-funded by the World Bank and the European Investment Bank. It is being implemented to support the Georgian State Internetization Programme. The project aims to provide around 500,000 people in rural settlements in Georgia with access to affordable high-quality internet services, as well as to help develop digital skills and facilitate the use of digital services.
