ComCom Trains 70 Lecturers in Samegrelo in Digital Literacy
As part of the Digital Support Programme, the Communications Commission conducted trainings on digital literacy for the academic staff of Shota Meskhia Zugdidi State Pedagogical University and Senaki State Vocational School, where more than 70 lecturers took part. The trainings served to strengthen the digital competencies of the academic staff and raise awareness about working effectively in a digital environment.
The meetings discussed important issues such as searching for information online and identifying reliable sources, the concept of artificial intelligence, its application in academic activities, and the positive aspects of a personal AI assistant. In addition, the trainings discussed the ways to protect electronic devices from malware and unauthorised access, account security and cyber fraud, as well as the useful online applications and resources that will assist academic staff in their research and teaching processes.
The Digital Support Programme is part of the Log-in Georgia project, which is co-funded by the World Bank and the European Investment Bank. It is being implemented to support the Georgian State Internetization Programme. The project aims to provide around 500,000 people in rural settlements in Georgia with access to affordable high-quality internet services, as well as to help develop digital skills and facilitate the use of digital services.
