As part of the project to integrate media literacy into formal education, media literacy trainer Rusudan Karkadze trained more than 50 teachers in Ozurgeti and Chokhatauri. Beneficiaries of the media literacy training will be teaching optional media literacy classes to 10^th graders. Students will learn about media literacy, media and information language, information processing and disinformation.

The Communications Commission, in close cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia, is implementing the “Integration of Media Literacy into Formal Education” project, which is funded by UNICEF. The project will offer training to a total of 500 teachers from every region of Georgia.
