ComCom’s Digital Support Programme has Over 1400 Beneficiaries in Chkhorotsku and Tskaltubo
The Digital Support Programme of the Communications Commission has concluded in the municipalities of Chkhorotsku and Tskaltubo. The implementation of the programme began in December 2024 in Chkhorotsku, and in January 2025 in Tskaltubo. The total number of beneficiaries has exceeded 1400. The meetings were designed to enhance the digital skills of the participants and develop skills such as finding the desired information online, using Google apps and programmes, using social media platforms, and others.
Seminars were also held for representatives of library unions in the municipalities of Chkhorotsku and Tskaltubo, as well as groups of women entrepreneurs in the target settlements.
Since 2022, more than 7600 citizens from different regions of Georgia have been trained as part of the Digital Support Programme in digital literacy, safe use of the internet and the use of state electronic services. The programme already covers 219 villages in 14 municipalities, and is currently being implemented in Senaki.
The Digital Support Programme is part of the Log-in Georgia project, which is co-funded by the World Bank and the European Investment Bank. It is being implemented to support the Georgian State Internetization Programme. The project aims to provide around 500,000 people in 1000 villages and rural settlements in Georgia with access to affordable high-quality internet services, as well as to help develop digital skills and facilitate the use of digital services.
