Communications Commissions of Georgia and United States Sign Agreement to Deepen Cooperation

The Communications Commission of Georgia (COMCOM) and the Federal Communications Commission of the United States (FCC) have signed a cooperation agreement to share their experience on the issues of media and telecom policy. The aim of the agreement is to enable COMCOM and FCC to enhance competition, implement technological innovations and eliminate digital imbalance in the field of media and telecommunications policy.

COMCOM Chairman Kakha Bekauri and FCC Chair Jessica Rosenworcel met during the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, which was organised by GSMA. The two heads of regulatory commissions agreed on future plans and strengthening mutual cooperation. Following the meeting, the cooperation agreement was signed by COMCOM Commissioner Ekaterine Imedadze and FCC Chair Jessica Rosenworcel.
