The Communications Commission held a public lecture on the subject of “Media Environment and Media Regulation” with the students of Tbilisi State University in order to raise awareness about the field of telecommunications among young people.

The meeting was chaired by Communications Commission member Ivane Makharadze, who provided students with detailed information about the media environment in Georgia. During the lecture, participants discussed the country's media policy, what is needed to start TV and radio broadcasting, the areas regulated by the Georgian legislation, as well as the challenges facing the Georgian media and the role of the Communications Commission in media development. 

The Commission will hold public lectures about media and telecommunications at other Georgian universities in the future.
