The Media Lab of the Communications Commission has chosen Stori AI as the winner of the start-up contest “Ideadrome.” Along with the cash prize, the winning team received the knowledge and experience for taking their idea to the global stage.

As part of the contest, participants underwent week-long training and worked with experienced mentors on improving and developing their ideas. The seminars were led by experts Nika Tsiklauri, Grigol Abashidze and Tatuli Okriashvili, who trained the startuppers in financial and legal matters, as well as in presenting their ideas. Contestants received individual advice from entrepreneur Davit Chechelashvili and underwent intensive mentorship with Media Lab team members Rusudan Chachanidze and Luka Kakabadze. Participants gained significant experience in validating their ideas, team management, developing strategies and prototypes, and product testing. The knowledge and experience gained during the practical training will give the contestants the opportunity to turn their ideas into real products.

This was the fifth edition of the “Ideadrome” contest organised by the Media Lab of the Communications Commission. The prize fund of the competition was GEL 10,000. This is an acceleration programme and contest that aims to discover potential startuppers and start-up ideas, turn them into reality, attract funding and help bring the product on the market.

The winners were selected by a jury panel that included the 500 Startups representative in Georgia Nato Chakvetadze, founder of the start-up company Kernel Beka Dalakishvili, and Head of the Media Academy Shorena Shaverdashvili.  

Past participants of “Ideadrome” are still working successfully on their start-ups and cooperating with the Media Lab. Start-ups such as Webbix, Techapp, Pharao, Veziri, Bubbler and others have already successfully launched their first products.

The next edition of “Ideadrome” will be held by the Media Lab in the spring of 2023.
