Number of Mobile Internet Subscribers Reaches 4.6 million in 2024

According to the 2024 Activity Report of the Communications Commission, the number of mobile internet users in Georgia is growing rapidly, driven by the increased demand for online services and digital platforms. In 2024, the number of mobile internet subscribers increased by 280,000 year-over-year and amounted to 4.60 million. The mobile internet user penetration rate during the same period was 133% among the population of Georgia, and 75% among the mobile service subscribers. 

The number of mobile subscribers is also growing, having increased by 230,000 year-over-year to a total of 6.14 million. This is due to an increase both in the number of residential and business subscribers. 

The penetration rate of mobile services among the Georgian population increased by 8% year-over-year to 177%. 

In terms of the number of subscribers, the market shares of mobile operators have remained virtually unchanged since 2023 and are distributed as follows: Magticom – 41%; Silknet – 35%; Cellfie Mobile – 23%; Halo – 0.5%. 

In 2024, Magticom had 1.84 million residential and 680,000 business subscribers. Silknet had 1.60 million residential and 570,000 business subscribers. Cellfie Mobile had 1.12 million residential subscribers and 300,000 business subscribers. Halo had 30,000 residential subscribers.
