The Advertising Revenues of TV Broadcasters Increase by 85%

The total commercial advertising revenues of TV and radio broadcasters in the third quarter of 2025 increased by 73.6% year-over-year to GEL 31.4 million. TV broadcasters alone collected GEL 29.5 million in advertising revenues (85% more than in the previous year).

Direct advertising accounted for 88.6% of the total advertising revenues in Q3 2025, sponsorship accounted for 6.7%, and product placement accounted for 4.6%.

Once again, Teleimedi had the largest share of commercial TV advertising revenues in Q3 2025, its revenues increasing by GEL 8.8 million year-over-year to GEL 14.4 million. The advertising revenues of Media Holding (Rustavi 2) increased by GEL 4.6 million and amounted to GEL 6.7 million. The revenues of GDS TV increased by GEL 1.5 million to GEL 2.1 million. The revenues of POSTV increased by GEL 0.5 million to a total of GEL 1.9 million.  The commercial advertising revenues of TV Pirveli in Q3 2025 totalled GEL 1.3 million, which is GEL 0.1 million more than in the previous year. The revenues of BMG grew by GEL 0.2 million to GEL 1 million. The revenues of Formula remained the same at GEL 0.8 million. The revenues of Palitra News doubled to GEL 0.2 million. In the case of the Georgian Public Broadcaster, the advertising revenues decreased by GEL 0.3 million to GEL 0.2 million in the third quarter. The revenues of Silknet remained unchanged at GEL 0.2 million.

The advertising revenues of radio broadcasters in the third quarter of 2025 decreased by 12% year-over-year to GEL 1.9 million, with direct advertising accounting for 88.5% of the revenues and sponsorship accounting for 11.2%.

Commercial advertising revenues include adverts, sponsorship, product placement, teleshopping and commercial notices.
