TV Advertising Revenues increased by 25%, while Radio Advertising Revenues decreased by 4%

In the third quarter of 2021, total advertising revenues of television and radio broadcasters increased by 22.2% compared to the same period of the previous year and accounted to GEL 21.8 million, 86.1% of which is accounted for by direct advertising. 

The advertising revenues of television broadcasters increased by 25% compared to the same period of the previous year and amounted to GEL 20 million. Imedi TV collected GEL 5.9 million advertising revenues -more than any other broadcaster –, followed by Mtavari TV (GEL 2.8 million), Rustavi 2 (GEL 2.4 million), TV Pirveli (GEL 1.9 million), POSTV (GEL 1.7 million), Formula (GEL 1.1 million), Silknet (GEL 0.9 million), GDS TV (GEL 0.8 million), the Georgian Public Broadcaster (GEL 0.6 million) and RBG (GEL 0.2 million). The advertising revenues of other television broadcasters totaled GEL 1.6 million. 

Advertising revenues include direct advertising, sponsorship, product placement, announcements, and teleshopping. 

In the third quarter of 2021, advertising revenues of radio broadcasters decreased by 4% compared to the same period of the previous year and amounted to a total of GEL 1.77 million. 

Radio Holding Fortuna collected the most revenues at GEL 984,200, followed by Radio Imedi (GEL 180,200), Radio Centre Plus (GEL 105,900), Georgian Times (GEL 77,100), Georgian Radio (GEL 76,000), Chveni Radio (GEL 57,200), MD Group (GEL 57,000), Media Stream (GEL 43,100), Hereti (GEL 31,600) and New Radio (GEL 21,500). GEL 135,000 was distributed among the other radio broadcasters.
