TV Broadcasters Collected GEL 99.2 Million in Advertising Revenues in 2025
In 2025, the total commercial advertising revenue of television and radio broadcasters increased by 37.4% compared to the same period of the previous year, reaching GEL 106.8 million. For television broadcasters alone, commercial advertising revenue grew by 43%, amounting to GEL 99.2 million.
In 2025, the largest share of TV advertising revenues (82.3%) was generated from direct advertising, amounting to GEL 81.7 million. Revenues from product placement accounted for 10.7%, totaling GEL 10.6 million, while sponsorship made up 6.9%, amounting to GEL 6.8 million. For comparison, in 2024 direct advertising accounted for 70.6% of total advertising revenues, which equaled GEL 49 million.
In the case of radio broadcasters, advertising revenues in 2025 decreased by 8.9%, totaling GEL 7.6 million. Direct advertising accounted for 89%, generating GEL 6.8 million. Sponsorship made up 10.8%, amounting to GEL 0.8 million.
In the fourth quarter of 2025, the total commercial advertising revenues of television and radio broadcasters increased by 72% compared to the same period of the previous year, reaching GEL 41.4 million. For TV broadcasters alone, commercial advertising revenues grew by 82.5%, amounting to GEL 39.2 million.
Commercial advertising revenues include adverts, sponsorship, product placement, teleshopping and commercial notices.
