GNCC has begun to study the information spread by media concerning the launch of the broadcasting by “Sputnik” in 101.4 MHz frequency band. 

Based on a decision made on October 3, 2014, the Georgian National Communications Commission has announced a contest for issuance of community radio broadcasting license in 100.1 MHz frequency band in the city of Ninotsminda.

GNCC has carried out study and analysis with the purpose to define the competition within the wholesale market segments having access on duct communication channels and on segments of the wholesale market  with access on resources in copper pair of subscriber cable lines and to reveal the operators with significant market power in order to impose specific obligations upon them. New tariff regulation is one of the imposed obligations.

  Gncc has established new interconnection  (wholesale) tariff cap for the mobile market based on a study -analysis. The new tariff applies to 3 mobile network carriers “Magticom,” “Geocell” and “Beeline.”  

  On October 10th, the main issue for EPRA’s final session was the discussion regarding political and financial independence of regulatory authorities.  

  GNCC imposed sanction on Ltd “Net City” for carrying out activities without an authorization.
