The Georgian National Communications Commission commenced public administrative proceedings to issue a broadcasting license.

The conference named as “Round Table for Interested Parties - in Preparation for Transition to Digital Broadcasting” was held on the initiative of USAID and IREX. Representatives of the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, Security Council of Georgia, non-government organizations, broadcasting companies and media attended the meeting.

The Georgian National Communications Commission commenced public administrative proceedings by the Decision of December 30, 2011. The company applied for modification of the technical specifications of its license in a way that would enable the company to distribute its broadcasting net worked out within the framework of the private broadcasting license N B111 through the terrestrial and orbital stations of broadcasting satellite systems.

One more broadcasting license was issued at the session held today at the Georgian National Communications Commission.

The Georgian National Communications Commission (GNCC) organized the regular open doors day.
